Free Key Word Sign Resources

Key word sign (KWS) – free resources

At Sunshine Sign and Sing, we believe one of the best ways to make key word signing a success is by making it fun and engaging. An easy way to incorporate children’s key word signs into your daily routine is through singing songs, reading books, and interactive activities.

We now offer a variety of resources to support your key word signing journey:

  1. Free Posters: Visual aids to reinforce key word signs in various environments.
  2. Free Songs with Key Word Signs: We provide free classic children’s songs with lyrics and corresponding key word signs. These are perfect for use at home, in early learning settings, playgroups, therapy sessions, or anywhere children gather.
  3. Free Narrated Book: Explore our narrated book featuring key word signs, including one of our favorite “Sunny Bear” stories – “Sunny Bear Spies Things Small.”
  4. Communication Boards: Look for our communication boards in local parks, making key word signing accessible in public spaces, link to online access below.

Tips for Using Our Resources:

  • Start with our sing-along videos to learn the signs associated with each song.
  • As you become more familiar with the signs, try incorporating core key word signs into the songs. Repetition of signs, especially core word signs, is vital for your child’s learning and ability to use key word signs for expressive communication.
  • Use our posters and communication boards to reinforce signs in different contexts.
  • Make story time interactive by using key word signs while reading our narrated book.

Remember, consistency and practice are key to success with key word signing. By making it a fun and regular part of your routine, you’ll help children develop their communication skills in an enjoyable way.

May your days be merry and bright,

Be white.

key word sign - Rudolph the red nosed reindeer -auslan - key word sign

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer,
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it,
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeers,
Use to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph,
Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide your sleigh tonight.

Then how the reindeers loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer,
You’ll go down in history.
