Colour

Touch tips of thumb and pointer finger together. Rub along the side of other pointer finger a few times.

Pointer in front of lips. Move in small circle. Tip: Lips are red.

At side of mouth clench and unclench your hand a few times, like squishing an orange.

Thumb and pointer touching, place on temple. Twist hand forward twice. Like the yellow sun rays hitting your head.

Hold your hand in the natural gesture for scissors. Move hand alongside of head doing a cutting action. Tip: Hairdressers cut hair.

On

Hands in fist on either side of head. Simultaneously move fists down head like you are putting a helmet on.

Palm forward, with finger slightly curved. Move hand forward in an arc under fingers pointing down.

Hands flat, make a corner with the fingertips.

Switch

Extend thumb and pointer finger so they are almost touching. Move hand up and down light you are flicking a switch on and off.

Locker

1. Hands flat, fingertips touching, palms facing down. Bring the hands out and down outlining the shape of the locker. 2. For lockable lockers, do the sign for key. On dominant hand curl pointer finger around thumb, place on palm of other flat hand. Twist dominant hand as though you are turning a key.

Mud

Flat hands, rub together in circular motions like moving mud between your hands.

Kitchen

Non dominant point upwards. Bend the pointer finger on your dominant hand. Tap the knuckle of your bent finger onto the middle of other pointer twice.

Pointer fingers extended, move hands in arcs towards and away from each other, as though conducting an orchestra.

Hand in front of mouth fingers slightly spread, bring all fingers and thumb together, loosen then repeat, like squeezing water into your mouth.
