Children’s key word signing (KWS) and the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia

The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) was created to assist extending and enriching children’s learning from birth to five to help realise the Council of Australian’s government that:

“All children have the best start to life to create a better future for themselves and the nation”¹

At Sunshine Sign and Sing we know that when Early Learning Educators are looking to adopt practices, activities and learning opportunities for their children the EYLF is often at the forefront of their decision making.

Sunshine Sign and Sing has therefore taking the opportunity to set out, for Early Learning Educators, how adopting and integrating Children’s key word signing (KWS) into your early childhood education and care setting will assist Educators meet many of the Principles and Learning Outcomes set out in the EYLF and will ensure the children at your service will have, “the best start to life to create a better future”.¹
