These are children’s key word sign (KWS) flashcards they are designed to be used to assist pre verbal, non verbal, non speaking children, those with unclear speech or other communication difficulties. The key word signs (KWS) are to be used alongside speech, gestures and expressions with key words being signed. Children’s key word signing is an unaided alternative and augmentative communication tool (AAC) it assists children get their needs and wants met as well as express their personality when they are unable to speak. We encourage all children to use key word sign as it will ensure peer to peer communication if they come across another child using Children’s key word signing to communicate.
