Providing your children with the core signs will allow them to move part getting their basic needs and wants met and can partake in communication functions such as sharing their thoughts, ideas and news that is important to them (such as visiting a grandparent).

Children’s key word sign is an Alternative and Augmentative (AAC)  communication tool that uses signs (kindly borrowed from Auslan), gestures and facial expressions alongside slow simplified spoken language with only key words being signed.
