Our Early Maths & CKWS training explores how Children’s Key Word Sign can support children’s understanding of early mathematical concepts through visual communication, movement and everyday interactions.
Research shows that using gestures and visual supports alongside spoken language can strengthen understanding, memory and engagement, particularly for abstract concepts such as positional language, sequencing, size and quantity.
During this practical session, educators explore how using positional and spatial signs can support children’s understanding of early mathematical concepts through routines, play and everyday learning experiences.
